Why A Wedding Video Is Important!

After the funeral we started going through all of his things. We spent a lot of time trying to find things that were important to him that we could salvage and through that process, we found some great photos of him, but they were just a snapshot in time. They didn’t really show us who he was, what his personality was like, or even his mannerisms, but we were happy with them because that’s everything that we could find.

fast-forward to 2020

We ended up having to sell my grandma‘s house and put her in a nursing home because she couldn't care for herself anymore. We had to move her ourselves and so we ended up spending a lot of time going through her things as well. While searching, we came across a box that had a bunch of loose items in it and after searching around a little bit we were able to find some old film reels. We had no idea what was on them, so we took them home to get them digitized. When we finally got them back I was so excited to see what was on them, so I turn on my computer, plugged in the USB drive it came on, and I open the files and when I saw what was on them, I could not believe it.

Unexpected Footage

It was footage of my mom as a child with my grandpa playing with her. It was just so incredible to see because he’s been gone for over 10 years now and just like that, he’s back. Moving around, walking, playing in the pool with my mom. It was It was amazing to see him alive and to see some of his personality again.

Family Heirloom

I don’t think that my grandma and grandpa realize what they were doing when they made that video but honestly they created a family heirloom for us. Every single time we watch it, we’re able to see him and be present with him in that moment and I think the same to be said about your wedding day.

Bring it back to life

Your photos are gonna be amazing but your video is going to bring back the day. It’s gonna bring it back to life. You are just creating a video of your wedding day, you’re creating a family heirloom that can be passed on generation to generation. In this day and age of digital, can you imagine your grandkids seeing the day their grandparents got married? It’s so awesome to think about!
